At Shimizu Orthodontics, the entire staff is highly trained and dedicated to providing a superior level of orthodontic treatment and customer service. Our daily goal is to exceed the expectations of everyone that we come into contact with.

Our entire team maintains the highest standards within the orthodontic field. Staff members regularly attend continuing education throughout the year to ensure our office stays abreast of the latest techniques and procedural innovations. All clinical staff members maintain licensure as required by the California State Board of Dental Examiners and the American Association of Orthodontists.

Jamie - New Patient Coordinator

     Jamie is the person that you'll meet at your first appointment with Dr. Shimizu.  As treatment coordinator, Jamie loves to greet all of our new patients and help guide them into the exciting world of orthodontics.  Jamie is also a Registered Dental Assistant and has been with Dr. Shimizu for 14 years.  Jamie lives in San Jose with her husband Cesar and 2 kids, Jordan and Gabi, and their crazy dog Jaxx.  On weekends, Jamie enjoys playing taxi for her kids, driving them to their various activities.  She loves watching her son play in basketball tournaments and watching her daughter at dance class.

Terri - Insurance Coordinator

     Terri has been with our office for over 30 years!  She is a Registered Dental Assistant and has worked in all positions within our office.  Currently, she is our Financial / Insurance Coordinator and enjoys helping our patients and families with insurance and flexible spending coordination.  Terri lives in the Almaden Valley with her wonderful husband Bill.  They have two grown daughters and two adorable granddaughters.  She enjoys the outdoors, biking, and spending time with her family and friends.

Kelly B - Appointment Coordinator

     Kelly is new to Dr. Shimizu's office and is excited to be a part of Dr. Shimizu's family of professionals!  She loves to play guitar and piano, and sing and write her own music.  When she is not in the office or writing music, she is enjoying the sunshine at the beach or spending time with her family.  Kelly loves to get to know people and hopes to brighten up each patient's day with kind words and a warm smile.

Theresa - Marketing Coordinator

     Theresa has been in the dental field for over 15 years; 7 years have been in orthodontics with Dr. Shimizu.  When she is not enjoying her time at work with her family of coworkers, she is often volunteering at her daughter's school or her running club (SJFIT).  Theresa is passionate about her time spent with her 8 year old daughter Isabella and training year-round for marathons.  If you don't see her in the office, you'll find her on the running trails!

Stacey - RDA, Clinical Coordinator

     Stacey has been a Registered Dental Assistant for 20 years and has been an important part of Dr. Shimizu's orthodontic team for 11 years.  She loves coming to work every day because of the patients and coworkers she has grown to love in our office.  She teaches yoga in her spare time and loves spending the rest of her day with her son Darrian, father Stan, and her three dogs Charley, Lolah, and Nabu.

Kelly F - RDA, Clinical Assistant

     Kelly has been an RDA since graduating from the College of Marin in 1997.  She is always positive and optimistic about life and is honored to have worked with Dr. Shimizu for 11 years.  Kelly married her childhood sweetheart and they have an adorable 5 year old son.  Outside of work, she enjoys teaching a cardio dance class, which is her passion.  "I love working with Dr. Shimizu and our team!  It isn't just work, it's family.  This job brings me such joy as I watch our patients transform into confident, beautiful people with awesome smiles.  I love getting to know each and every patient!"

 

Gabrielle - RDA, Clinical Assistant

     Gabrielle has been an orthodontic assistant with her RDA license for over 15 years.  She loves helping Dr. Shimizu create beautiful smiles and getting to know all of our great patients.  Gabi has been married for 12 years and has 2 wonderful boys, a cat, 2 German Shepherds, and 2 green parrots.  She and her family love camping, boating, and having family gatherings at their home.
